Facilitator Trainings

After just three years of the Awakening the Dreamer Initiative, over 750 facilitators around the world have trained to deliver the Symposium in their own communities.

Each of these people stepped forward to express their commitment to build a better world by awakening those around them to new possibilities.

For some facilitators, delivering a Symposium in their own community is a simple and powerful act of service.  For others, the Symposium has become part of their larger vision to transform themselves, their towns and institutions, and even their countries.

The Pachamama Alliance is committed to training people who have the desire and commitment to deliver the Symposium in their own communities and beyond.  Facilitator Trainings take participants further into the spirit and the content of the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium, giving them the experience and support necessary to create Symposiums.

Becoming a Facilitator

Facilitator Trainings consist of...

  1. Preparation and study period before the training
  2. Three day intensive training session
  3. Two day practicum in smaller, local groups

During the practicum, you will put on a Symposium with fellow trainees under the guidance and support of experienced facilitators. The trainings are designed for those who want to present from the front of the room, to host (bring together the team and the venue and be responsible for the participants registering), or to be on the production team the day of the event.

Commitment to Yourself and Others

The Facilitator Training represents a significant commitment. Those who have completed the trainings rave about their experience of the training and of being a part of the community committed to the purpose of the Symposium—bringing for an evnironmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, and socially just human presence on the planet. We believe you will find it well worth your time and energy.
